FORMER BIG BROWN POWER PLANT

Falcon, LLC a subsidiary of Commercial Liability Partners purchased the Big Brown Power Plant, a retired coal-fired power plant in Fairfield, Texas in December of 2019.

Commercial Liability Partners has already completed the abatement of the plant site and is well on schedule to finish demolition in 2021. Clean closure of the bottom ash ponds is already completed and work has started on capping the landfills.

Falcon, LLC (CLP) is working closely with state and local officials, as well as community stakeholders, to begin to develop plans for potential long-term use at the sites.

Commercial Liability Partners is actively addressing the environmental needs at the sites, including remediation, groundwater monitoring, abatement, decommissioning and demolition of the facilities.

The two-unit Big Brown Power Plant opened in 1971 northeast of Fairfield. The site was retired in early 2018.
